Sales Engineer / Internal CRM Administrator--Plus Consulting - Pittsburgh PA

Plus Consulting is looking for a Sales Engineer who can lead the technical aspects of the sales process developing solutions that illustrate value a solution will bring to prospects and customers.  Additionally, this person will need to administer our internal Dynamics 365 system: Enhancements, Build Dashboards, Views, Reports, manage data, and generally respond to the needs of the CRM user community.

The position of Sales Engineer is customer facing and serves as the lead technical resource for the Sales Account Teams. The Sales Engineer plays an integral part in strategic and tactical planning throughout the sales process and works closely with our customers and internal resources to define opportunities, to communicate the value of our services and to drive revenue for the business. The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users and identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to insure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.

Essential Job Functions

Customer Facing Tasks:

  • Manage all technical aspects of the account relationship in conjunction with the Sales Rep.
  • Understand prospect pain points and put together a demo / presentation that drives value to the prospect.
  • Lead the technical discussion with sales team and customers in order to develop a viable solution that meets the customer’s needs.
  • Provide customer specific proposals with required design components along with detailed presentations as required.
  • Work with Sales to ensure that the solution aligns with customer expectations and budget.
  • Attend meetings and conference calls with existing and perspective customers.
  •  Represent the organization at industry specific trade shows.


Internal Tasks:

  • Responsible for assembling ‘pre-sales’ support material for each proposal for the Sales team and customer.
  • Assist Marketing as a subject matter expert and supply content for marketing campaigns / webinars / events.
  • Provide technical information and support to the implementation team for contracted opportunities as required.
  • Administer our internal Dynamics 365 CRM system.
  • Ability to travel 25% - 35%


Skills/Experience

  • 2 years’ experience as the primary administrator of a CRM solution.
  • 2 years’ experience in a sales role.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written, oral communication skills
  • Able to develop professional written responses to emails, RFPs, and network solutions
  • Goal Oriented - Ability to focus on a goal and obtain a pre-determined result.
