Salesforce Application Consultant (Full Time Employee)

Job Description

Salesforce Application Consultant will contribute to identifying, communicating, and solving highly visible business practices, processes, and technology issues for our clients. The Application Consultant will participate in delivering business solutions in a team oriented, collaborative environment. The focus of the Application Consultant is to participate in design, solution architecture, configuration, and implementation efforts of business solutions on the Salesforce platform.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provides consulting services

Guides clients and team members to resolve requirements of varying complexity
Determines implementation options using best practices approach
Develops and deploys solutions that meet client requirements in a scalable and repeatable manner
Provides clear and concise estimates to sales and delivery teams

Communicates clearly and consistently

Provides ongoing communication to team members, management and clients
Communicates with clients to provide updates on inquiries across projects and support initiatives
Participates in team meetings and updates internal systems in a timely manner

Meets professional standards

Develops quality deliverables and provides guidance to others on deliverables
Adheres to project deadlines and commitments
Exceeds customer expectations of professionalism
Strives to remain technically proficient in technology innovations

Acts as a client advocate

Understands business value in solutions
Balances client requirements against competing efforts and project risk factors


Required Skills:

Solid understanding of enterprise solution architecture
Extensive experience in building client-specific solutions on the Force.com platform
Extensive experience with declarative configuration and system security administration
Solid understanding of declarative configuration limitations and ability to identify circumstances that demand programmatic customizations
Extensive experience with deployment methodologies and system testing
Familiarity with sales and service cloud features and functionality, as well as extending applications
Demonstrate an ability to learn quickly in a rapid-paced environment
Excellent bidirectional verbal and written communication skills
Experience using common business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
Strong desire to learn new industries and technologies
Ability to adapt to new challenges
Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team with professionals at all levels

Required Experience:

3+ years working as a business consultant or technical liaison in an internal or external capacity
2+ years leading CRM system implementation efforts using an SDLC methodology


Bachelors of Science or Bachelors of Arts degree
Relevant product & technology certifications
