Business Analyst/Product Analyst

Product Analyst/Business Analyst acts as a liaison between the Technical development team and the customer using in house products. This role, is critical that the person has an excellent practical understanding of internal technology concepts, development methodology and the variety of business problems faced by our customers.  The BA will act as a consultant to make customers more effective through the proper use of customized Software Technology; as well as, will thoroughly understand the customer's requirements in order to define the enhancements required to fill the gap between customer’s requirements and solutions.

The BA needs to be able to work effectively in a matrix organization using excellent communication skills to understand the customer's business requirements and then translate those requirements into a Design Specification for the Development team.  The analyst job is "to get close to the customer".  To be truly effective, the analyst has to understand our customers' businesses, know their pain points, their needs, and their strategic plans.  This full understanding is necessary to be able to adequately represent the voice of the customer and convey their requirements to the Development team.

Candidates must have experience in Health Care and knowledge and or experience with Supply Chain environments

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related business field (computer science, information systems, etc.). Master's preferred. 3 years of work experience in business process design and optimization required.
- Prior experience with product development, understanding Product Development methodology, writing requirements documents and writing software user manuals is required
- Operates semi-independently with project direction from lead/supervisor 2-3x/week.
- Interacts with others in an open, honest, collaborative, and reliable manner.
- Is visually and verbally articulate. Able to contribute in interactive group development sessions.
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application, technical and operational requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
