Project Manager Software

Overview: The Project Manager is the direct contact with new and existing clients.  Responsible for the planning, execution, and overall project management of assigned engagements, which involve implementing e-procurement solutions for healthcare clients.

 

Function

Under the general direction of the Senior Project Manager or Director this position requires excellent Project Management and communication skills along with effective planning and organizational skills.  Experience with managing large system projects is preferred.  This person must have the ability to provide support for large enterprise initiatives/projects, managing all tasks required to providing services to meet and business needs within budget and targeted deadlines. 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field with 3-5 or more years’ experience in IT or information systems preferred. A Master’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.  Strong management, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written) are required.

 

Responsibilities

 

Overall client management and project implementation responsibility
Manage server environment setups, software installations & technical eProcurement integrations with internal Product Development Team and client’s technical team
Direct & lead client functional & technical project team; setup & run status sessions
Scope project, schedule, allocate and manage project resources and expenses
Manage customer expectations and provide risk & issue management
Analyze client technology stack, current client eProcurement processes and supplier ramp efforts, business rules and any custom client requirements
Guide & support the client supplier ramp / agent dev effort (supplier interaction)
Coordinate and perform UAT, CRP and other training type activities
Manage any requested “Post Implementation” Client Service activities
Support Pre-Sales efforts acting as Client Services / Technical expert
Document feature requirements and provide client feedback to Product Dev group
Act as firm’s client ambassador and build solid business relationships
Maintains current industry knowledge and trends, attending educational events, acquiring certification, and participating in committee work as appropriate.
Performs all other job related duties as assigned by the manager
Provide supply chain and eprocurement consulting services to prospects and existing clients by analyzing data and meeting with supply chain executives to propose cost saving and process improvement solutions and applications

Problem Solving

Strong project management and organizational skills are required. Must be able independently manage projects with minimal supervision and in the absence of management when required.  Must possess the ability to continuously interact effectively with all levels of clients and other staff.  The role requires the ability to work under pressure and for extended hours.  Must be able to resolve complex problems in a timely and efficient manner.

 

 

Other Desired Skills/Experience

 

ERP (purchasing) system experience: PeopleSoft, Lawson, Oracle, Ariba, SciQuest
Demonstrated experience with project management tools i.e. Microsoft Project or other Project Management software
Functional knowledge and experience with  eProcurement tools/solutions
Working knowledge of catalog content management (including punchout catalogs)
Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma processes and methodologies (certification a plus)
2+ yrs experience supervising teams of technical personnel
Strong understanding of Internet-based eCommerce and eProcurement applications.
Supplier onboarding / supplier management experience highly desirable
Demonstrated leadership skills and project management experience (proven track record in driving timely, high quality project to completion)
Excellent analytical ability, consultative, communication and management skills
Strong ability to work effectively with client, IT management and staff
An intermediate skill level of Excel-based data analysis and manipulation.

 

Travel Requirement: Candidates must have the willingness and ability to travel up to and including 40% of the time in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
